What the law requires
- File the annual bedbug infestation history via HPD Online.
- Distribute a copy of the filed report to every tenant within 60 days of filing and at move-in.
- Post the filed report in a common area.
Filing frequency and deadlines
Penalty structure
Non-compliance with LL69 can result in the following penalties:
- HPD violation issued immediately after the December 31 deadline passes.
- Additional HPD violation for failure to distribute to tenants.
Exemptions
- One- and two-family dwellings.
Recent updates and amendments
HPD Online filing is now the required mechanism; paper filings are no longer accepted.
