Penalty structure
Non-compliance with LL75 can result in the following penalties:
- Major DOB violation; summons to OATH.
- Non-compliant solid grilles must be replaced regardless of tenant objection.
Exemptions
- Residential buildings.
- Non-roll-down security measures (scissor gates, lift gates with no solid slats).
Recent updates and amendments
Enforcement begins July 2026. Landmarked storefronts must coordinate with LPC on compliant product selection.
