Subscribing to the calendar feed
LLDesk publishes every compliance deadline across every building in your workspace as a live iCal feed. Subscribe to it from your calendar app and you'll see deadlines alongside your meetings — no extra dashboard to check.
Getting your feed URL
From your dashboard, click Subscribe to calendar feed. You'll see a unique iCal URL — long, hard to memorize, ending in .ics. Copy it. The URL is personal to you: anyone with the URL can view your deadlines, so don't share it.
You can rotate the URL from Settings → Calendar feed → Reset URL if you ever need to.
Google Calendar
- Open Google Calendar in a browser.
- In the left sidebar, next to Other calendars, click + then From URL.
- Paste your LLDesk feed URL.
- Click Add calendar.
It can take Google up to 12 hours to first sync. After the initial sync, Google refreshes a few times per day. Don't expect minute-level real-time — for that, use Slack alerts.
Apple Calendar (macOS, iOS)
On macOS:
- Open Calendar.
- Menu: File → New Calendar Subscription.
- Paste your LLDesk feed URL, click Subscribe.
- Set auto-refresh to "Every hour" for best results.
On iOS:
- Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar.
- Paste your URL, save.
Outlook
Outlook on the web:
- Open Outlook Calendar.
- Click Add calendar → Subscribe from web.
- Paste your URL, give it a name (e.g., "LLDesk Compliance"), pick a color.
- Click Import.
Outlook desktop (Windows):
Outlook desktop uses the same subscription via your web account, so subscribing on the web is enough — it'll sync to desktop.
What's in each event
Each event includes:
- Title: the compliance item name (e.g., "LL84 Benchmarking — 120 Broadway").
- Date/time: the deadline. Most are all-day events; OATH hearings and other timed events have actual times.
- Location: the building address.
- Description: a short summary plus a link back to the LLDesk item detail.
Reminders set in your calendar app are independent from LLDesk's reminder system. You can use both, or just one.
Refreshing manually
Most calendar apps cache aggressively. If you've updated something in LLDesk and want to see it in your calendar immediately, the manual refresh paths are:
- Google Calendar: there's no manual refresh; wait for the sync (or use the LLDesk dashboard).
- Apple Calendar: right-click the calendar in the sidebar → Refresh.
- Outlook: right-click the calendar → Refresh.
For real-time visibility, the dashboard or Slack integration are better.
Privacy
Your feed URL is a private secret. Treat it like a password. Anyone with it can see (read-only) every deadline in your workspace. They can't change anything, but they can see your portfolio's compliance schedule.
