Connecting Stripe (vendors)

How vendors connect Stripe to receive payouts from LLDesk marketplace work.

Connecting Stripe (vendors)

If you're a vendor on the LLDesk marketplace, you'll need to connect Stripe to receive payouts. This article walks through the connection flow, explains what Stripe Connect is, and answers the most common questions.

Why Stripe?

LLDesk uses Stripe Connect to handle vendor payouts. We don't hold or move money directly — we route owner payments through Stripe to your connected account. This keeps payouts fast (typically 2 business days), secure (PCI-compliant rails), and traceable (every payout is logged).

You don't need a Stripe account before signing up as a vendor — we'll guide you through creating one if you don't have one.

The connection flow

From your vendor dashboard, click Settings → Payouts → Connect Stripe. You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow.

Stripe will ask for:

  • Business details. Legal name, EIN or SSN (for sole proprietors), business address.
  • Bank account. Where payouts should land. ACH (bank routing + account number).
  • Identity verification. A government ID, sometimes an additional document. This is a Stripe requirement, not an LLDesk one.

Most vendors complete this in 5–10 minutes. Once you submit, Stripe verifies in the background. You'll be marked Payouts enabled in your vendor dashboard typically within 1 business day.

Receiving your first payout

When an owner books work through the marketplace, they pay LLDesk. After the work is marked complete and any platform hold period has elapsed (typically 3 business days, depending on the work type), the funds are released to your connected Stripe account, which deposits them to your linked bank account.

Each payout shows up in your vendor dashboard with the originating job, the gross amount, the LLDesk platform fee, and the net to you. Stripe also emails you on every payout.

Platform fees

LLDesk takes a transparent platform fee on marketplace work. The fee is shown to both you and the owner before the work is booked, and broken out on every payout. We never have hidden takes.

Updating bank account or business info

You can update bank info, business name, or address anytime from Settings → Payouts → Manage Stripe account. Updates are made in Stripe directly and may require additional verification depending on what changed.

What if Stripe rejects my onboarding?

This is rare but happens — usually when the EIN doesn't match the legal name on file with the IRS, or when the identity document is unclear. Stripe will email you with a specific reason, and you can re-submit from your vendor dashboard.

If you're stuck, email vendor-support@lldesk.ai and we'll help you get unblocked.

Off-platform payments

The LLDesk marketplace is a convenience, not a requirement. If an owner finds you through the marketplace but wants to pay you off-platform (check, ACH directly, etc.), that's between you and the owner — but the work won't be tracked in the LLDesk audit trail in the same way, and we can't enforce platform protections like dispute mediation.

We pick up support emails personally.
